Package Details

Day 1: Arrival in Kochi and Transfer to Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary

  • Arrive at Kochi International Airport and meet your driver/guide.
  • Drive to Kumarakom, which is about 2 hours away from the airport.
  • Check-in at your hotel and rest for a while.
  • Visit the bird sanctuary in the afternoon for birdwatching.
  • The sanctuary is home to several migratory birds including the egret, darter, heron, different species of Kingfishers, herons, owls, egrets, white ibis, Indian darter and many other native birds thrive here. The sanctuary attracts migrant birds like pin-tailed duck, Siberian stork, teals, spot-billed duck, steppe eagle, osprey, marsh harrier also. The place is ideal for nature photography.
  • Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary (Periyar Tiger Trail)

  • After breakfast, drive to Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary
  • Visit the sanctuary in the evening on Periyar Tiger Trail for birdwatching and animal sightings.
  • The sanctuary is home to over 260 species of birds including the Malabar grey hornbill, Nilgiri wood pigeon, and the Blue-winged parakeet.
  • Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Thattekad Bird Sanctuary

  • After breakfast, drive to Thattekad Bird Sanctuary, which is about 3.5 hours away from Periyar.
  • Check-in at your hotel and rest for a while.
  • Visit the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary Thattekad in the afternoon for birdwatching. 
  • The sanctuary is home to over 300 species of birds including the Indian pitta, Malabar grey hornbill, white-bellied treepie, Asian fairy blue-bird, Hill Myna, Malabar starling, Malabar Trogon, variety of Cormorants, greater racket-tailed drongo, Malabar grey-hornbill, green bee-eater, grey and red junglefowl, lesser whistling duck and the Sri Lankan frogmouth.
  • Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Kadalundi Bird Sanctuary

  • After breakfast, drive to Kadalundi Bird Sanctuary, which is 5 hours away from Kumarakom
  • Kadalundi Bird Sanctuary is a popular birdwatching spot located in Kerala. 
  • It is a haven for migratory birds and is home to over 100 species of birds including Brahminy Kite, Western Reef Heron, Little Cormorant, Osprey, Whimbrel, Eurasian Curlew, Common Sandpiper, Black-tailed Godwit and peacock
  • In addition to these birds, you may also see several species of egrets, herons, and kingfishers, among others
  • Drive to Wayanad, which is about 2 hours away from Kadalundi
  • Check-in at your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Kuruva Island and Tholpetty Wildlife Sanctuary

  • After breakfast, drive to Kuruva Island
  • The main island has two freshwater lakes, attracting several species of birds like Western Reef Heron, Little Cormorant, several species of 
  • egrets, herons, and kingfishers, Nilgiri wood pigeon, and the Blue-winged parakeet, Nilgiri whistling thrush, peacock, Hill Myna, Malabar starling, Malabar Trogon, greater racket-tailed drongo, Malabar grey-hornbill, green bee-eater, grey and red junglefowl and peacock
  • After lunch drive to Tholpetti Wildlife Sanctuary
  • In the sanctuary, you will see animals like deer, elephants, panthers, tigers, bison, malabar squirrels, bears and the rare Slender Loris
  • Sanctuary is home to over 100 species of birds including Brahminy Kite, Whimbrel, Nilgiri wood pigeon, the Blue-winged parakeet, Nilgiri whistling thrush, peacock, Hill Myna, Malabar starling, Malabar Trogon, greater racket-tailed drongo, Malabar grey-hornbill, green bee-eater, grey and red junglefowl

Day 6: Pakshi Pathalam Bird Sanctuary and night safari at Chembrapeak

  • After breakfast, drive to Pakshi Pathalam Bird Sanctuary
  • Pakshipathalam is a Bird Sanctuary and a tourist location in Wayanad district of Kerala State
  • It’s a 8 km long trek of moderate difficulty that delights every adventure lover
  • Sanctuary is home to over 100 species of birds including many species of cuckoo, edible-nest swiftlet, owl, woodpecker Nilgiri wood pigeon, the Blue-winged parakeet, 
  • Nilgiri whistling thrush, peacock,and other birds
  • After lunch drive to Chembrapeak and checkin-in at your stay for dinner and overnight stay

Day 7: Morning Safari and Departure

  • Be ready for the night safari in early morning where you can see elephants, leopards, tigers and bison 
  • Come back and rest for a while
  • After breakfast, check-out from your hotel and drive to Kochi/Calicut International Airport for your departure flight.
